Randy Propster has been on the road for this year for the Backpacker Get Out More Tour sharing his passion, experience, and knowledge with outdoor enthusiasts across the country. We’re taking a look at Randy’s travels over the past month and seeing the highlights from the shops, festivals, and gorgeous natural areas he’s visited along the way.
Bushwacker Outdoors – Peoria, Indiana
Randy kicked off the month of August traveling through Indiana to Bushwacker Outdoors in Peoria. His 90-minute seminar on gear and getting outside drew in a huge crowd. From Peoria Randy made his way through South Dakota, camping for a few days in the beautiful Black Hills before reaching Rapid City.
Roam’n Around Travel & Outdoor Gear – Rapid City, South Dakota
In Rapid City, a major milestone took place. Randy spoke in front a record-breaking 315 people at Roam’n Around Travel & Outdoor Gear! This was the largest crowd in attendance at a Get Out More Tour stop in 18 years. “After spending four nights camped, surrounded by such beauty, I am inspired to celebrate the access that the great folks of Rapid City have to so many wild places.”
Sportsman and Ski Haus – Kalispell, Montana
Randy continued northwest into Montana before stopping in Kalispell. Parked outside the iconic Sportman & Ski Haus store, this stop make even the Get Out More adventure rig look small! Continuing on through the Beartooth Mountains, Randy ran into something… unexpected. He took this opportunity to reinforce his philosophy of always be prepared. Check out what happened in the short video below.
Telluride, Colorado and Beyond
From Kalispell out to the Buffalo Bill Reservoir in Wyoming (shown below) and back to Colorado, Randy continues his tour this month at the Telluride Blues and Brews Festival.
